Partners

David Holmes

David is a partner and founder of the firm, having previously been a partner at Fisher Meredith Solicitors. He qualified in 1990. He has a wide and extensive knowledge of criminal law, having had conduct of cases of the utmost gravity and complexity including murder, rape and large-scale conspiracies. He is an experienced duty solicitor and regular advocate at Court. He also frequently attends police stations.

Renata Pinter 

As head of our Extradition department, Renata has specialised expertise in fighting extradition proceedings from the very outset through to appeal proceedings in the High Court of Justice, Supreme Court and European Court of Human Rights. Renata has been practising defending extradition requests for well over a decade and has a vast amount of expertise in this field.

Renata has defended hundreds of extradition requests from a broad range of jurisdictions, including both EU and non-EU countries. She has over a decade long  experience resisting extradition requests from EU and wide range of countries outside the EU including the USA, India, Armenia, UAE,  Bermuda, Falkland Island, Turkey, Kenya, Ukraine, Canada and Albania.

Renata regularly appears in high profile cases and represents vulnerable clients in complex extradition proceedings .She has strong links with lawyers and expert witnesses in UK as well as foreign jurisdictions who are able to assist in resisting extradition. 

Renata has experience in challenging Interpol Red Notices and assisted in prisoner transfer arrangements.

Renata is a committee member of the Defence Extradition Lawyers Forum, and since 2008 has been a member of the Fair Trial’s Legal advisory panel.  

Renata Pinter is ranked in Chambers and Partners as Band 2 in the field of extradition. "She knows her way around extradition law and is good with clients."

Renata is fluent in Hungarian.

David Ruyoka

David has been practising as a criminal defence solicitor since 2001. He has considerable experience in a wide range of criminal law matters and has dealt with numerous police (and other criminal) investigations. David has extensive experience of representation in the magistrates’ courts, including regular trial advocacy, and has conducted serious cases in the crown court and on appeal. David has a particular interest in defending individuals being investigated or prosecuted for suspected welfare benefit fraud.

Siân Eglinton

Siân is an experienced, passionate and dedicated criminal defence solicitor who qualified in 1999 and specialises in crime and related matters. Siân has represented clients accused of a wide rages of offences from the more serious allegations of people trafficking, murder, serious violence, drug and sex offences through to less grave offences. Siân understands that an allegation of any nature can be life changing and is she is known for her dedication to clients and a determined and thorough approach to their cases. She has an easy, sympathetic and respectful manner with her clients taking the time to involve them in each stage of proceedings to achieve the best result. She has particular interest and expertise representing young people who have found themselves before the criminal justice system.

Olivia Bruton

Olivia joined the team in May 2015 and qualified in 2019. She is a dedicated criminal defence solicitor and has experience dealing with a wide range of cases at the police station, Magistrates’ Court and the Crown Court.

Office Manager

Nikki Davis

Nikki has been at Dalton Holmes Gray since its foundation, and manages the day to day logistics and running of the office. She liaises between clients, barristers, the police and others in the criminal justice system ensuring that cases run smoothly and clients are always well informed. Typically the first point of contact for the firm, Nikki has a wealth of experience and will always try to help resolve your questions or concerns.

Sandra Cacchioli

Sandra qualified in 1998 and has been a duty solicitor since 2001. She practices criminal law. She has extensive experience working as a police station representative and Court advocate.

Sandra has a special interest and expertise in representing defendant’s who are victims of human trafficking and is a member of the Trafficking Law and Policy Forum.

Grace France

Grace qualified in 2005, having previously worked in the commercial sector, and joined Dalton Holmes Gray in 2014 as a consultant. Her wealth and breadth of experience, approachable manner and professionalism have made her a valuable asset to the team. Grace is a duty solicitor and represents our clients at police stations and at the Magistrates' Court.

Khurram Arif

Khurram qualified as a solicitor in 2001. He has higher rights and represents clients in the Crown Court as well as the Magistrates Court. As an experienced criminal lawyer, Khurram has an extremely loyal client base and is also instructed by organisations including the Terrence Higgins Trust. He has particular expertise in fraud and drugs offences and speaks fluent Urdu and Punjabi.
